The Braithwaite Award<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The Braithwaite Award was created to honour individuals who have devoted their lives to the cause and vision of St. Leonard\u2019s Society of Canada. It acknowledges their outstanding achievements, mentorship, and dedication that have both inspired and challenged the Society. <\/span>
<\/p>

This award is named for John Braithwaite who has been a friend of SLSC since its earliest days, providing both support and inspiration.<\/i>

The Cody Award recognizes people outside the Society who have made an outstanding contribution to humanitarian causes, and who have promoted the work of community-based residential facilities\u00a0in the community.<\/p>

This award is named for the late Bishop John C. Cody of London, Ontario, whose courageous support and generous donation helped to found St. Leonard\u2019s House-Windsor at a time of intense public opposition.<\/i><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Elizabeth White Award for Mentorship recognizes individuals who embody a spirit of mentorship that is forward-thinking, while remaining grounded in the mission, vision and values of SLSC.<\/p>

The award is named after Elizabeth White, who served as SLSC\u2019s Executive Director from 1996 through 2016. Throughout that time, she consistently took efforts to mentor young colleagues, cultivating a new, more diverse, forward-thinking generation of future leaders in the community and social justice sector.<\/i><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Libby Fund Award is presented to people who have been in conflict with the law, and current or prospective staff members of SLSC affiliates. to recognize and support their social service training, education, or knowledge enhancement.\u00a0<\/p>

The award was named after r<\/i>eflecting Fr. Libby\u2019s dedication\u00a0<\/i>The Libby Fund was initiated in memory of Rev. T. The Luxton Award<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

This award honours\u00a0<\/span>volunteers and staff<\/span>\u00a0from the SLSC and its members who have made<\/span>\u00a0significant, long-term contributions<\/span>\u00a0to our cause.<\/span><\/p>

This award was created to\u00a0 commemorate Bishop George N. Luxton who not only supported a major investment by his Parish in downtown Windsor, but offered and financed the services of his associate, Fr. T. Neil Libby for two years, in order to help establish the new concept of halfway houses for ex-prisoners. His signature appears on our original charter.<\/em><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
